Dresser Re-vamp...

This past April, My husband built a room onto our house for our oldest son, Zack.  I struggled with the decor of his room because I wanted it to be fun for him, but aslo functional if we have company over.  I found a few ideas that I liked on Pinterest and decided that I wanted to re-do old furniture, but the problem was finding the furniture.  I found out that my Husband's Parents still had my Husband's old dresser and chest from when he was a little boy.  I thought it was so neat the our son would have his dad's old furniture.  The best part was that the furniture was solid wood and really good quality.  This is what it looked like before:

I had already taken the drawers out, but you can pretty much tell that it needed some work.  :)

I decided to sand the top and spray paint the rest.  I started with the top first and stained it a very dark brown color.  Then I taped it and sprayed the dresser and drawers.  This is the after...

I was even able to use the old hardware.  I just scrubbed it with some steel wool and it looked as good as new.

We just love how it turned out!

I fixed the Chest of Drawers the same way...

Thanks for stopping by!
